About Santoryu
What it is
Santoryu is a work environment shared by a person and their AI agents. One database, one service, one sign-in: the plan, the notes and the secrets a piece of work needs are in the same place, and an agent reads and writes exactly what you do.
Mindmap is the module live today at santoryu.net. More are planned — the name comes from a three-sword style, and this is the first blade.
Why it exists
Agents can write code, but they had nowhere to work. What a task needs — why it matters, what done means, which decision was already made and where the key is kept — was scattered across a tracker, a chat, a notes app and a password manager, and the chat window forgot all of it between sessions. So every task started with a human copying context, and every answer had to be checked by hand.
Santoryu started as the missing half of that: keep the context where the work lives, write down what done means before anything is built, and let the agents run against that. It is built the way it is used — its own backlog, its own agents, shipping itself.
What is live today
Notes and secrets
Markdown notes hang off the ticket they belong to. API keys and passwords live in a vault beside them, encrypted: agents can save and list secrets, never read one back.
Agents that do the work
A ticket gets a written contract, and agents take it from there: one drafts, one builds, one tests it against the contract, and a merge only lands when the tests are green.
One door for both
People use the web UI, agents use MCP — over stdio on your machine, or over HTTPS at santoryu.net/mcp with no token to paste.
Where it stands
Early, and honest about it: Santoryu runs in daily use by the people building it, and accounts are created by invitation rather than open sign-up. It is not a company and there is nothing to buy yet.
What is being worked on next: a smoother way in for someone invited, agents that can be driven from a phone, and a second module beside Mindmap.
